This research addresses prominent issues in the talent cultivation of Primary Education majors in Yunnan’s vocational colleges, including the disconnection between curricula and professional demands, the theory-practice divide, and overreliance on traditional teaching modes. It carries out research with three core objectives: first, to investigate the current learning status and challenges of Primary Education majors through literature analysis and questionnaire surveys; second, to
construct an initial career competency-oriented intelligent learning model based on literature analysis and questionnaire findings, and revise and optimize the model framework through three rounds of Delphi expert consultation; third, to comprehensively develop and empirically evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed model.
The research sample includes 309 students for the questionnaire survey, and 40 sophomores equally divided into experimental and control groups for the quasiexperiment. Research instruments involve literature review, questionnaire survey, Delphi method, independent samples t-test, paired samples t-test, descriptive statistics, and Cohen's effect size analysis, etc. The statistics used to analyze the data include percentage, average value, standard deviation, and Cohen's effect size. The initial intelligent learning model is established on the basis of literature review and questionnaire findings. Through three rounds of iterative optimization via the Delphi expert consultation, all first-level and second-level indicators of the model have been finalized, with the average score of each indicator ranging from 4.45 to 4.80, which proves good scientific rationality and expert consensus. A 6-week quasi-experimental intervention is implemented in two groups. The statistical results show that the post-test average score of the experimental group using the intelligent learning model is 85.75, obviously higher than the 70.65 of the control group with traditional teaching, and Cohen’s d reaches 8.97, indicating an extremely large effect size.
This model integrates online and offline learning resources and builds a multisubject and process-oriented evaluation system. It effectively remedies the defects of traditional talent training modes and realizes the shift from teacher-centered to student-centered teaching. From a practical perspective, the model covers six core dimensions: Learning Objectives, Learning Content, Learning Resources, Learning Process, Learning Interaction, and Learning Evaluation. It complies with the Professional Standards for Primary School Teachers and the talent cultivation objectives of the
Primary Education major in Yunnan’s vocational colleges, and gives full play to modern
information technologies such as smart education platforms, big data and GAI to support students’ independent and personalized learning.
