This study aimed to develop and validate a student learning engagement model for SPOC-based blended teaching in marketing courses and to examine its effectiveness. A three-phase research design was adopted. First, a questionnaire was
developed through literature review, expert consultation, IOC validation, and pilot testing. Second, 895 valid responses from 1,080 undergraduate students at six universities in Liaoning Province were analyzed using factor analysis and structural
equation modeling. Third, an eight-week experiment involving 71 students was conducted.
The results identified four dimensions of learning engagement:
1. Behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and interactional engagement.
2. The final model showed good fit, with χ²/df = 3.24, CFI = 0.975, and RMSEA= 0.058.
3. The experimental group outperformed the control group, and course attainment increased by 18.6%, confirming the model’s validity and practical value.
