This thesis present Development of Digital Learner Characteristics Model for
Higher Vocational College Students in Guangxi. The objectives of this research were: 1) To study the current situation of digital learner characteristics for Higher Vocational College Students in Guangxi. 2) To develop of digital learner characteristics model for Higher Vocational College Students in Guangxi. 3) To evaluate of digital learner characteristics model for Higher Vocational College Students in Guangxi. The sample is 21 experts who meet the requirements of Delphi method and 9 experts who meet the requirements of focus group method, and 80 non-computer science students who are engaged in the study
of digital learner characteristics of students in Guangxi vocational colleges. Research instruments include: 1) Design questionnaire, 2) structured interview, and 3) evaluation form. The data were analysis by using percentage, Median, Mode, Inter-Quartile Range.
The research results show that:
1.The digital learner characteristics for higher vocational college students in
Guangxi s are generally at a medium-low level.
2. For the digital learner characteristics model for higher vocational colleges
students in Guangxi, the researchers proposed a total of 5 dimensions and 56 strategies, including 11 strategies for digital literacy and skills, 10 strategies for interactive collaboration, 11 strategies for independent learning ability, 13 strategies for digital learning ability, and 11 strategies for problem-solving ability.
3.The developed model has been evaluated and optimized. In the test
implementation, the model has more advantages than the traditional method in
cultivating students' digital learner characteristics.
