การวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์และจำแนกเนื้อหาหมวดหมู่หนังสือพระพุทธศาสนา วิธีการศึกษา โดยการอ่านพิเคราะห์และวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาหนังสือพระพุทธศาสนาในหอสมุดแห่งชาติ จำนวน 8,344 เล่ม โดยจำแนกคำดรรชนีและสภาพความสัมพันธ์ของคำดรรชนีของหนังสือพระพุทธศาสนา แล้วนำคำดรรชนีมาจำแนกบันทึกลงในโปรแกรมการจัดการศัพท์สัมพันธ์ (Thesaurus management software) ซึ่งโปรแกรมจะจัดเรียงความสัมพันธ์ของคำดรรชนีในลักษณะของคำที่กว้างกว่า (Broader Term) และคำที่แคบกว่า (Narrower Term) แล้วนำผลจากโปรแกรมการจัดการศัพท์สัมพันธ์มาสังเคราะห์รวมรวมคำศัพท์ที่มีความสัมพันธ์กันอีกครั้งหนึ่ง เพื่อเชื่อมโยงความสัมพันธ์ และเขียนเป็นภาพเดนโดรแกรม (Dendrogram) คำดรรชนีหนังสือพระพุทธศาสนาจากประเด็นหลักไปหาประเด็นย่อย แล้วนำมาจำแนกเป็นโครงสร้างของระบบการจัดหมวดหมู่หนังสือพระพุทธศาสนา จากนั้นได้นำไปให้ผู้เชี่ยวชาญทางด้านพระพุทธศาสนา จำนวน 5 ท่าน ตรวจสอบความถูกต้องและเหมาะสม แล้วนำมาสรุปเป็นแผนการจัดหมวดหมู่หนังสือ พระพุทธศาสนา ผลการของวิจัยครั้งนี้ สรุปได้ว่า การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาและจำแนกหมวดหมู่หนังสือพระพุทธศาสนา ได้จำแนกตามลักษณะองค์ประกอบของศาสนา ความเป็นมาของศาสนา หลักธรรมของศาสนา และสภาพของหนังสือพระพุทธศาสนาที่มีอยู่จริง ซึ่งได้จำแนกหนังสือพระพุทธศาสนาออกเป็น 10 หมวด คือ 1.ปรัชญาและทฤษฎีของพุทธศาสนา 2. ศาสดา สาวก อุบาสก และอุบาสิกา 3. หลักธรรม 4. ศาสนพิธี 5. ศาสนสถาน ศาสนวัตถุ สัญลักษณ์ สถาบันและองค์กรทางศาสนา 6. คัมภีร์ ตำราที่เป็นแหล่งความรู้ทางพระพุทธศาสนา 7. การปกครองและการบริหารคณะสงฆ์ 8. ประวัติพระพุทธศาสนา 9. การเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา 10. การแบ่งแยกนิกายพระพุทธศาสนา แล้วแต่ละหมวดหมู่ได้จำแนกแยกย่อยออกไปจากประเด็นหลักไปหาประเด็นย่อย ๆ มากบางน้อยบางเป็นลำดับชั้นไป ตั้งแต่ 2 ชั้นขึ้นไป ตามจำนวนของเนื้อหาและสาระสำคัญของหมวดหมู่นั้นๆ ซึ่งหมวดหมู่ที่ได้จัดจำแนกขึ้นนี้ครอบคลุมทุกองค์ประกอบของศาสนา หากมีหนังสือพระพุทธศาสนาเพิ่มขึ้น ก็สามารถนำจัดเข้าหมวดหมู่และขยายลงลึกตามลำดับชั้นได้อีก โดยจะเป็นหมวดหมู่ที่สัมพันธ์กันอย่างต่อเนื่อง

The objectives of this research are to analyze and classify the content of the group classification of the books of Buddhism. The procedure of the study is to read scrutinizing and analyze the content of 8,344 books of Buddhism in the National Library. First, the indexes in the book 0f Buddhism are classified and searched for the indexes relation.
Then, the classified indexes are written in Thesaurus management software, the indexes will be listed in the relation in the form of broader term words and narrower term words. The results from Thesaurus management software are then synthetized to combine for the word that related once again in order to bind their combination, and write in dendrogram of the indexes of the books of Buddhism in the form of main factor to minor factor. After synthetic combination, the indexes are classified of the structure of the classification system of the books of Buddhism. The group classified indexes have been inspected by 5 experts in book of Buddhism for the correction and appropriation. In final, the conclusion has been taken for the plan of the group classification of the book of Buddhism.
The results of this research can be concluded that the analysis and group classification of books of Buddhism has been classified by character composition of a religion, historical of a religion, principle of a religion, and condition of the existing book about a religion. This make 10 group classifications books of Buddhism, which are 1. philosophy and theory of Buddhism 2.a savant, a disciple,a churchman, and a churchwoman 3. right principle 4. religious ceremonial 5. religious institute, religious material, characteristic, Institute and religious agency 6. bible, books which is Buddhism
knowledge source 7. rule and administer of the hierarchy 8. history of Buddhism 9. Buddhism distribution 10. religious denomination. The main principle of each group is classified to minor principle. The minor principle of each main principle are classified in different level, begin with 2 level, depend on the content and the important of each group.
The classified group cover every character composition of a religion. If there is any book of Buddhism, then the Buddhism textbook can be classified into group, subgroup, and can classified into level also. The group classification will continue be in the relation.
