            "@value": "บทความนี้บอกเล่าเรื่องราวของ ท่านผู้หญิงพัน บุนนาค ภริยาของสมเด็จเจ้าพระยาบรมมหาศรีสุริยวงศ์ ซึ่งเป็นตระกูลขุนนางที่มีบทบาทและ อำนาจบารมีสูงที่สุด ในช่วงต้นรัชสมัยพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว โดยเนื้อหามุ่งเน้นไปที่เหตุการณ์ประวัติศาสตร์เมื่อครั้งที่ท่านผู้หญิงพันได้กล่าว วาจาเชิงสบประมาท ถึงพระวรกายที่ทรุดโทรมของรัชกาลที่ 5 ขณะทรงพระประชวรและเพิ่งเสด็จขึ้นครองราชย์ด้วยพระชนมายุเพียง 15 พรรษา บันทึกจากหลายแหล่งสะท้อนให้เห็นถึง ความรุ่งเรืองของตระกูลบุนนาค ที่มีอิทธิพลเหนือราชวงศ์ในยุคนั้น จนทำให้สตรีผู้นี้กล้าแสดงออกอย่างไม่เกรงกลัวต่อขัตติยมานะ อย่างไรก็ตาม รัชกาลที่ 5 ทรงมี พระชนมายุยืนยาว จนสามารถพิสูจน์ให้เห็นถึงความแข็งแกร่งของพระองค์ผ่านเหตุการณ์ในงานศพของท่านผู้หญิงพันในเวลาต่อมาได้สำเร็จ บทสรุปของเรื่องนี้จึงเป็นการสะท้อนภาพลักษณ์ของ ความผันแปรทางอำนาจ ระหว่างสถาบันกษัตริย์และกลุ่มขุนนางในสมัยรัตนโกสินทร์ได้เป็นอย่างดี"
